Back in their room, Juliet decides to have a quick shower, while Romeo shaves and gets ready for the party that they came here for. "Holy Cow!", she shouts from the shower, "Honey, this shower is amazing!" She says that she is so tired of motels (and even really expensive hotels) that have lousy showers. There is lots of water, lots of pressure, and it is fun! Romeo can hear Juliet singing a song from the radio, and he decides (sly devil) to jump in with his wife. Together, they.......(hey)(this is a family web page). Now, feeling refreshed, the Lovers are ready to go to their party. After the party they both fall into bed tired but happy. They will sleep well with the window open just a little to let in the cool night air. In the morning, Romeo wakes first, and decides to make some coffee from the in-room coffee maker for himself and his wife. As he drinks his coffee, outside in the chair beside his room marveling at the view, the trees, the peace. After a time, Juliet stirs and comes out to see her sweety, delighted he has a coffee waiting for her. She remarks on the homey coffee mugs, (truly big enough to wake up the grouchiest bear!) Together, they silently take in the moment and tell themselves they must do this again. Soon. "Are you ready for something to eat?" asked Romeo. "Sure thing, Lover", |

replied Juliet with a twinkle in her eye! And so, the Lovers enjoyed breakfast in their room. Juliet had packed some goodies because she knew that there would be a fridge and a microwave and a coffee maker in their room. They didn't have to get dressed, just like at home! and they didn't have to cook, or clean up just not like at home! After brekkie, the Lovers decide on one more walk and one more shower before they have to go to see Uncle Ralph and Aunt Gertrude. As you can see, the Lovers had a wonderful time with their visit to the Algonquin. We didn't even mention some of the other features of our rooms. We didn't mention the two housekeeping rooms, which are like one bedroom apartments, with a full kitchen, separate bedroom and a full bath. We also didn't mention the air conditioning, winter plug-ins or queen sized beds! But then, that's another story.... |
