If you want to go golfing, we have lots of opportunities here. The closest golf course is the nine holes, Par 32 at The Ridge (formerly Ten Gables), about 9 km South of us in Sundridge. This course has a commanding view of the Village of Sundridge and Lake Bernard. For more info. or to book your tee time, call them at (705) 384-5844. Also near us is Eagle Lake golf course, this course is 10 holes, however, the bulldozers are hard at work making another eight holes, which will be open in 2008. In fact, two new holes are open now! Eagle Lake golf course is very well kept up and at Par 36, it is also quite challenging. To make your reservation, call Dave St. Onge at (705) 386-0261. A little farther away to the north, you can golf at Highview Golf Course in Powassan. This course is 18 holes with a Par of 72. They are located about 30 km north of us on Highway 11. located on the banks of the Magnetawan river. Katrine is about 35 km south of the motel, and you can contact them at (705) 382-3635. There are lots of other courses, within an hours drive, ranging from the la-de-dahs of Deerhurst and Grandview in Huntsville,to the more pedestrian courses of the North Bay area. |
