South River is home to a wonderful lakeside disc golf course! The Algonquin Disc Golf Course located in Tom Thompson Park is hosting several events this summer and every summer! Our course and it's tireless volunteers host four Tounaments every year. The first event of the year is called Ice Bowl! It is held in February in conjunction with South River's Winter Carnival. Our second event is The Black Fly Fling, held on the last Saturday in May. This year that is the 30th. |

The Fling is a PDGA sanctioned event and attracts some pretty excellent throwers. This years event was held in the snow!!!!! Can you beleive it? Our signature event is Discstock, a two day OD Tour Event, held on the last weekend before the labour day weekend. Discstock is a hoot! The Algonquin Fall Classic is held in Mid-October just as we say goodbye to the warm(ish) weather. Additionally, the South river Disc Golf Club plays every Tuesday at 6 PM.
