There are lots of ATV Trails in our area. The two main trailing areas are to the East of the highway in the crown land towards Algonquin Park, and to the West of the highway beyond Deer Lake.

The trails to the East are easily accesible right from the motel, with a limited amount of road running (about 8 km) to get to the trails. From there, your choices are limitless! There is lots of high and dry land, as well as, swampy, wet, and gooey bits too! When you get here, ask Tim or Martha for a map and then "Get outta here!" We'll let you use our garden hose when you get back......for the bike!

To get to the trails out West, you will have to use your trailer, since the road running will be considerable from here (about 30 km). The cops are pretty cool around here about letting you run the roads, however, all the way out to Deer Lake is pushing it a little bit.....but some folks like to live on the edge, eh.

Every year, our local legion sponsors an ATV Rally out this way, with organized rides for some 200 riders, followed by a supper at the Legion (leaving time for a shower, of course)(or not). This years rally will be held on the weekend of May 9, 2009 (Just before bug season). For more info. call the South River Legion at (705) 386-2906. Once you get out to the trails, your options are truly unbeleiveable! The crown land out towards the Loring deer yard is almost limitless. There is an entire township back there which is completely undeveloped, as well as, conisderable surrounding territory. If you want to spend a weekend, or a couple of weekdays on your machine, c'mon up!
